Any Meetings in South Yorkshire

Hi guys anyone know of any meetings in South Yorkshire, I am a Donny lad for my sins, we could team up with West Yorks or another bordering county to make up the numbers to get started. PM me if you want to get anything of the ground, we need a venue, speakers etc

We're tring to get some meetings going in this area, there was one in Hull on Sunday and we are trying one a month there, i travelled from Pontefract(45 mins)

I went to that meeting where I had arranged Robfreeman as a contact, I walked in with my wife asked if anyone was Robfreeman and said where he was from (there was only one group in the room) they looked at each other and said err No. So I sat down had a coke and we returned home. I didnt realise that Rob didnt make it so wasnt there. So for me it was dissipointing waste of time. I didnt want to start mentioning get out of debt free as I didnt know who i was talking to. I think in future when groups meet in public places like bars and strangers are expected there needs to be someway of saying "we are here" not everyone is confident enough to stand and shout "Any one here from Getoutofdebtfree?" I think its a lesson I have learned if ever I arrange any meeting it was a 84 mile round trip to sample Hull pepsi LOL

Hey Bornfree,really sorry I didn't make that but I pm'ed you after explaining that I had no-one to watch the kids.I did however cancel beforehand with star3t,who is from Hull and set that 1st meet up.Don't let it put you off bro,and like Ceylon says let's swap phone numbers beforehand.I attended and spoke briefly at a meet in Chesterfield on the 3rd April where 22 people showed up on the 1st meet.We are having the 2nd meeting on Tues 24th April in Chesterfield again.They were a great bunch that turned up last time,some total newbies,and some more informed,but all shared with each other.If you want to know the details pal,pm me and I'll give em you,together with my phone number etc. Same to Mark - of -the -Brown :family too,if you are interested in attending pal.
