On the 6/7/12 she gets this letter
Cheeky bastards!!
So today I've been typing up a letter on her behalf, it goes a bit like this:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Sir/Madam
In regards to your recent correspondence dated 6/7/2012, you wrote to me with regards to the above account stating that you require a monthly repayment proposal from myself in order to assist me further.
However, I can confirm that I no longer need assistance in repaying the debt to the above account, as according to my calculations this debt has now been paid in full (error 1).
I also wish to point out that in your recent letter, you failed to state how much was still owing on the aforementioned account (error 2), which leads me to believe that you are trying to obtain money by deceit. This is a criminal offence, for which you may be prosecuted, at this time you will be charged a fee.
Please find enclosed a copy of your recent letter to validate my points raised.
Please also find enclosed my NOTICE TO RECOVER PAYMENT FOR ADMINISTERATIVE COSTS,
You have 14 days to send payment. This is not negotiable and failure to send payment will incur further costs
I trust that court action will not be necessary to recover my costs.
Yours Sincerely
Mrs Bones341.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is just to show that this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated, especially after my kind hearted Mrs paid the debt in full by cheque... WHICH THEY HAVE STILL CASHED IN!!!
They are being billed for:
Assuming she still needs help to settle a debt already paid in full - £20
Failing to state how much is actually owing on her account - £20
Attempting to commit fraud - £20
Letters received, opened and reviewed - £10
Time taken to write a letter back to them to point out their errors - £25
Giving a nice little total of £95, if after 14 days they still haven't payed up, she'll be adding £30 per day for 7 days until she takes it to a small claims court. Effectively, she will be getting back what she's payed them already, plus interest!
The main point to this exercise is to actually try and get something out of them, play them at their own game. And, if necessary, get a DCA on THEM! Give 'em a taste of their own shit!
The letter has already been sealed ready for posting off tomorrow, I'll let you know what happens!
Are you living in fear of Banks and Debt Collectors letters and phone calls? Do you worry about Bailiffs visiting your home?
