Latest update.

No response to Letter 1. Sent Letter 2. The day after I sent letter 2 I received a response to letter 1 with the following:

Our Chief Executive Officer, Mr Bob Diamond, has passed your letter of 16th Jan to me with a request that I undertake an investigation and respond on his behalf.

Please accept my apology for the difficulties you have experienced with a debt. I will undertake a thorough review of the circumstances you outline and expect to contact you again shortly. In the meantime, should you wish to contact me, please telephone on my direct line 0207etc.etc.

Please find enclosed a copy of our complaints leaflet which explains how we will deal with the matter.

There was no enclosed leaflet!

So, I'm guessing I continue with the three letters?

I sent letter 3, waited 30 days, heard nothing and I am now about to send the Estoppel notice. I haven't taken the copyright route.

So am I to keep the infringement part of the fee schedule in the letter or should I delete it?

5. £1,000,000 (ONE MILLION POUNDS STERLING) per unauthorised © infringement.

What happens after I have sent this? Ideally I'd like the account closed.

I went down the © TM route and used £1,000.000.00 as penalty for breach, I don't know about the non © TM route, I guess it would be whatever value you put on yourself, however If it came to a court scenario I am not sure if they would class £1,000,000.00 as a fair fee for the offense. I am not a Judge, nor would I want to be one with what's happening globally. £10.000.00 may be fairer or £100.000.00 It all depends I am sure I heard Ceylon say on a video that £1.000.000.00 isn't unreasonable these days. Maybe I am just too old, or been skint for so long that £1.000.000.00 is pie in the sky

I hear what you're saying. I usually halve the amounts in the templates. I just haven't gotten around to this part yet because I don't know whether to include it in the letter.

Do I leave that in even though I haven't been through the complete copyright procedure?

I sent the eStoppel. What happens now? Ideally I'd have the account closed so I can forget about it.
