If you are saying that Barclays last wrote to you on the 06th April and that you have not received NOTICES, letters, phone calls, emails or personal visits from them for a clear 30 days, (that would be the 06th May), it is my understanding that you can send the estoppel on or after the 6th of may 2012

Hi there,
Very interested in hearing how this has worked out for you.
Am considering the same course of action and also have a Career Development Loan with Barclays that I cannot repay as I can't get a job!
I've not even had a look at the whole website or process yet but if someone can please explain in laymans terms how this actually works then it would be appreciated!
Thanks
;)

you simply send 3 letters in the first 2 you ask them to prove you owe anything via a contract and a few other things which they can never supply send letter 3 you have them in whats called a tacit agreement which is because they never gave you what you asked for they agree to your terms, if they contact you after that you bill them for breaking your agreement

Thanks for that Ceylon.

I have just written to complain that I don't even have a copy of the loan agreement, have never been sent statements and am also reclaiming PPI.

In your opinion should I now only follow protocol on this website with regards to further letters?

Also what's your view of the PPI Reclaim situation?

I have been stunned to learn the truth of the financial system and have been reading lots of posts on this site which has helped me see I've got tongive this a go before my situation geta any worse!

Thanks so much for your advice!

you can do what you think is best i cant tell you to do anything

ppi if you claim it back and win they will just deduct it from what you owe so again thats your choice.

dont get to caught up in how bad it is just be happy you are on the right path now, if you have any questions just ask. if you go down this route make sure you get what your doing and what your asking for that why when they lie and send you threats it will not effect you much.
read as much as you can the only one that can help you is you by educating yourself to whats going on and remember they have already lost its just a matter of time till there game is over and we have a much much better life

Thanks again Ceylon,
I will definitely investigate further. A lot to take on but I have to do something.
Has anyone had any negative repercussions from this procedure? i.e. blackballed from a Bank's services, longer than the norm bad credit? etc. You know how dirty they play so any solutions on how to deal with the above, as, let's face it, we are unable to perform simple transactions these days without them.
Thanks.
Oh, and sorry for hi-jacking this particular thread! Do keep me informed of progress!
