Very interested in hearing how this has worked out for you.
Am considering the same course of action and also have a Career Development Loan with Barclays that I cannot repay as I can't get a job!
I've not even had a look at the whole website or process yet but if someone can please explain in laymans terms how this actually works then it would be appreciated!
Thanks
;)

I'm glad that you have found this thread useful; you haven't hi-jacked it at all, that's why I posted it. This is for a Career Development loan, and I also did not feel that my career was adequately developed as a result of taking the loan (which I did before I was aware of all of this). If I was to start this all again, I would probably buy the membership upgrade for £5 because that looks like it provides everything you need to get on with the process. Ceylon is right, you need to do your homework, but I have found that I have learnt a lot by going through the process myself (with the support of this forum).

Good luck!

Aw, thanks so much. I too feel my Career Development Loan is now void and useless considering the market. Especially as I am jobless!
I will definitely research further and so far have found some more evidence on a few different sites supporting the information given here so that's a good start! I am sure I will post again needing assistance, but thanks all for the positive comments so far. Wishing you all the best with your finances! ;)
