Credit Card and Overdraft and Current Account

Postby S1mpleman » Sun Jun 10, 2012 5:22 pm

Hello there all, just wanted to double check this before I go after natwest.

I currently have a credit card, over limit. A Overdraft on 1 current account that's overdrawn due to charges, and a current account that's got no overdraft but it overdrawn due to charges.

Am I correct in thinking I can just put all the account number's together for this? I know I can for the 2 current account's but I was unsure about the credit card.

Thanks

Nice one! Thanks ceylon. What's the best place to post it to? I've got 2 different address, 1 is my local Natwest the other is Southend-on-Sea where ever that is, or would I be better off posting it to Royal Bank of Scotland's CEO Stephen Hester and Collection's department?

Edit:

Well the CEO and his address is, gonna send the first letter to him tomorrow.

I'll answer on Ceylon's behalf and tell you to use Stephen Hester's address in Scotland as your local branch will know nothing and Southend is merely a payment processing centre.
I did the process with NatWest for both a large credit card balance and an overdraft although I did them separately but now postage rates have gone up you might as well save yourself the time and expense.
PS The correct registered office address is The Royal Bank of Scotland plc, 36 St Andrew Square, Edinburgh, United Kingdom, EH2 2YB.

Thanks GeoffD most helpful of you. Yeah postage does cost far too much, being on the dole doesn't help matters, but i'm determined not to get a CCJ because of these alleged debts. Tomorrow is the day to get the ball rolling, boo ya!

Edit: oh and thanks for the correct address. :D

Well got my first reply from them today, the usual speal about how there bemused about my request for validation of the debt. I'm bemused by your reply, as you've said you didn't think it was harrasing to ring me over 5 times a day. The phone's much quieter since though. I know about the £1 statutory fee for the executed agreement is just a ploy by them but could anyone explain to me the bit about disputing it under the S78 of the consumer credit act.

I'm guessing I would only do this if I was actually discussing it under this act, but I am not!

I've included the letter's in the link's below if anyone want's to check them out. I know a lot of people have had similar letter's like.

The one thing that's confused me though is they've only replied to my credit card account number. Now I had all 3 account number's of my credit card and debit accounts on the last 2 letter's I sent. Rude bugger's just ignoring my other 2! Well it's time to copy right the name and send the 3rd letter as that is required to go out on the 31 and the 1st of next month.
