My Barclaycard Story

Postby chrisw10 » Tue May 01, 2012 6:34 pm

So far, nothing interesting to report, the automated caller still bugs me now and a gain, but not as ofter. I have confirmation they have rec'd copyright letter 1 and copyright notice.

Will keep you posted!

Hi All

Similar to my MBNA story, i have rec'd a letter from BC today saying they have not heard from me and i won't be able to use my card until i pay them the outstanding monthly payments i have missed, but after i make the payment they have given me a new credit limit of £1200 to help "stop problems building up"

My BC has been frozen for 2 years when i first got into a mess with my finances, what a joke!

Any way as with my question posted for MBNA, do i bill them £5000 for using "Mr" and £1,000,000 for using my name now or after letter 3 has been delivered which is due on the 15th?

I have proof of delivery for letter 1 & 2 and as with MBNA they have had the copyright notice. This letter is dated 10th May, they rec'd letter 1 on the 27th April and letter 2 8th May

The letter is from Paul McWeeney head of consumer sales and service,

Thanks for any advice as always!

I've not done the copyright letters but is the actual fee schedule in letter 3? or before that.

In the other letters you send letter 3 first then start billing if they write after that.

Barclaycard automated caller is back on the task again, the chopper has called me 3 times today, the last at 7:59pm! on a Sunday!

I have them in tacit and checked the fee schedule but couldn't see anything specific regarding contact by phone being billable, boy i would love to bill them!!!

Also have a collection of those handy fact sheets they send with the letters for Arrears giving you advice on how they can stitch you up some more while your down, thinking when i chase the bills up i should send them with the warning letters that they are overdue and also put in there that this may be passed on to professional debt collectors Ha!
