Lowell Finance - No longer scary, now v. funny!

Postby csrichards » Wed Nov 09, 2011 10:50 pm

Good Evening All,

It has just dawned upon me how completely useless these so called debt collection companies really are.
The letter below is a responce to letter number 2 and to be honest I nearly started laughing when I read it.
They are claiming that they have sent me what I asked for, they clearly havent. They are claiming they do not legally have to give me anymore documents, well they havent even given me any in the first place!!!!

I suppose I just send them letter 3 and start billing them. I have dealt with a lot of companies over the years and Lowell just make me laugh. How many companies that have a genuine reason for contacing you have so many different trading names! I could go on forever, but I suppose what I am trying to say is that although I havent managed to get them to write off the debt as yet, I am now converted as a true believer that the system is currupt and if they had a leg to stand on they would have sent me what I asked for!

I can't thank this site enough along with TPCU.ORG and numerous others. Thanks for opening my eyes up to whats really going on.

Lastly special thanks goes out to Ceylon! Thank you very much.

Please do post the letter, be interested to see what they have said.
Also I wonder if we could use one success to offset another. For example I have seen people having debt written off by these DCAs. I wonder if they can be used as case studies to present to other DCAs, pointing out that they are talking crap.

Hi csrichards, I assume you mean a Precedent or a Maxim. I think these companies would say that each individual account is different, Different circumstances etc. I think Maxim's have to be set in court, but I may be wrong though. Others comments would be interesting on this subject/.
