It's a good feeling not being afraid of these low life scum. Power to the people (who have woken up!) I say. Hopefully more people will wake up and do the same and stand up for themselves and their rights.

There will be a day when everyone wakes up. I try to explain the real financial system to people and it's hard to get past what we all have been taught our whole lives. It took me a little while to come to my senses. Now that I really know how the system works, all banks and DCA's need to watch out. FEAR NO ONE!

Re: The phone call -Metropolitan

Postby PaulieWallie » Sun Feb 26, 2012 8:52 pm

Sent my 3rd letter on Friday and got a letter from Metropolitan on Saturday. Two separate letters to me and my husband both thanking for our 1st letter and just stating they are enclosing copies of statements which show how the balance was accrued before being passed for collection. They have also stated that they have now removed our phone numbers from their system (thanks). They should get my 3rd letter tomorrow so hopefully they will fully understand what it is I am actually asking for instead of sending me a load of statements. At the end of the letter they also state that failure to respond to their letter will result in continued recovery action and we trust that this clarifies matters. Well no it doesn't actually

5 days to go before I send estoppel :D Funnily enough I've opened up a new bank account and got a phone call the other day asking to speak to Mrs (name) and I asked what it was in regards to and who was calling and the reply was, we are doing a survey but we cannot give any other information out until we know that we are speaking to Mrs (name). So I asked once again if you tell me who you are and what it is in relation to then I can tell you who you are speaking to and the reply again was under Data Protection Act we cannot give out any info until we know that we are speaking to Mrs (name). So again my reply was well I'm sorry madam but I do not like to give out any info over the telephone because I hope you understand that you phoned me so you could be anybody and unless I know who I am talking to and what it is regarding then I cannot give out any details and the lady said well I cannot give this info out so shall we just leave at that and I said ok. Such a polite lady and very gracious about it all bless her, I had fun tho lol!

Just a quick query, the 30 days of no contact from Metropolitan is this Sunday 25 March. Should I send my estoppel on Friday so they have it for Monday or should I just leave it until Monday to post?

Had an application form sent to me today from Capital one asking me if I wanted to apply for a credit card as "they" believe that I should have a chance to rebuild my credit rating (unbelievable)!

Just completing my estoppel but sorry if this sounds a silly question. When completing the fee schedule no. 5 where it says £1,000,000 (ONE MILLION POUNDS STERLING) per unauthorised © infringement, do I put my name here just before the copyright mark and also I notice that the estoppel has been updated and no longer has "tm" after the copyright mark in No. 5 also, so do I leave out the tm bit as in previous estoppel's it had the tm bit in it? Many thanks
