By the way, get letters ready for D.G. Solicitors (aka HSBC) as they tend to escalate to N1 court papers via Northampton within 7-14 days, even better send letter 1 attaching copy of Metropoliton letter as they refer to D.G. is what I would do, others may advise also? (personal experiance still on going).

Give them 7 days instead of 10 to respond, (ensure the wording from 10 Ten days to 7 Seven days on the letter( (amended)I have done this on several occassions, Recorded Delivery.

METROPOLITAN weren't very persistent, they're passing it on to DG Solicitors (letter attached)...

I guess I bill METROPOLITAN and be prepared to start the 4 letter process with DG Solicitors once they get in touch with me. Any advice?

Hi Faircop, make sure you have Metropolitan in full tacit {all three letters sent and signed for) if they are already in tacit then yes you can bill them for breaking the tacit agreement by passing the alleged unproven debt to another company. If they are not already in tacit you cannot bill them, send the remaining letters then the estoppel. Always send the Estoppel or at some stage in the future it might come back and kick you in the Proverbial.

As soon as you hear from DG Solicitors then use the same three debt collector letters on them.

There are posts in the forum from other members who have been dealing with DG Solicitors so they can advise you of their progress.

Hi faircop Just remember you need 30 clear days of no contact before you send estoppel.

Thank you. I will track all of the recorded delivery items to make sure that METROPOLITAN have signed for all 3 letters before billing them.
