If you already started paying on this, you already agreed that you owe it and I believe the SOL starts over. Call them with the receipt that you received earlier stating you didn't owe anything. If you can't find the receipt, do the 3 letter process. Make them validate the debt. They should stop, or take them to court about the alleged debt. They will have to prove that you owe it. FEAR NO ONE!

Ain't paid them a penny and won't! Now they've sent me a letter using my erstwhile middle name, meaning that I can't open their mail as it's not addressed to me an is of course the Queen's property. So I wrote 'not known at this address' on the envelope and sent it back. Should remind them later that the debt IS statute barred as I've never paid one red cent. Ha ha!
