lpg gas suppliers

Postby FIGHTTHEM5 » Fri May 11, 2012 12:19 pm

good morning all

this is a bit of a different gas problem i think as i am having an argument with our lpg gas suppliers.

they are refusing to delivery any more gas - even though we have paid our payment plan all along and paid in full for bulk deliveries etc - but their own driver accidentally put a load more gas than we asked into our tank and now they are demanding a lump sum of £1000 - which we cannot afford. on top of this they have added obscure charges here and there and penalties for late payment etc and are now threatening us.

is there a letter system i could use relevant to this situation? i have used the three letter stages many times before with great success - but dont know how to deal with these lot. they are abusive and demanding - so any help would be greatly appreciated as always.

thank you :D

Hi, This is my first post on here so please bear with me. I had a simular problem with Calor gas sometime back. I beleave that you will find the lpg suppliers a whole different ball game with regards to the three letters as they pretty much got you by the balls.I am assuning that you got a reciept from the driver for the ammount that he deliverd into your tank. The best way to deal with them is to negotiate a lower price (pence per litre) for the extra lpg that was deliverd into your tank and if you are happy with the price then pay for it or better still work out a payment plan with them in order to pay. The other alternative is that you request that they remove the excess lpg that was deliverd from the tank. To remove the excess is very expensive for them and they may not have the equipment to do it, so in a way you may have them by the balls this time. How long have you had a contract with them as you may be able to change supplers. I beleave that you can now change suppliers after 2 years. There is another website that has a lot more infomation on these crooks (and they are crooks), but I dont know if I am allowed to name it here.

hello midnight

that is great thank you and welcome to this most excellent forum. my contract has expired with them and we have since got another supplier but they will prob be writing demanding letters soon. i have new gas from new supplier so cant really ask them to remove it and we have not business with them anymore. you could private message me the website i suppose - i should think thats ok. ceylon will tell us if thats not ok.

i hope you find this site as valuable as i have - it has saved my life, literally.

all the best
:D

Hi again, Ceylon has now confirmed that its ok for me to post the website here so I will dig it out for you. Just another thing, as you probably rented the tank from them then you could also point out to them that if they would like then you will consider charging them a weekly/daily storage charge for the storage of thier gas. No pressure :D.
As a matter of interest what company did this deed and what size tank do you have as the usual domestic sized tank is around 1200-1300 ltr in water capacity.

I just found it. Lots here to look at and read.

You will probably have to sign up to post.

Remember that you are under no obligation to buy this extra gas from them if you did not order it. If they put more in then you orderd and they are unable to remove their gas then they have a problem. :D
Let us know how it works out.

Best wishes.
