Bus lane 'contravention'

Postby legoflamb » Thu Mar 08, 2012 11:27 am

My mate was asking me if you can tell them to go away with these as well?

I said most likely; it's not about what you did and who issues the thing etc... it's all about the words on the doc.

PCN is a PCN is a PCN.

Anyone had any of these that they've fought?

I believe you are correct. All PCNs are Unlawful, they are fining you before you have a chance to say your bit in court. Every Man is entitled to his day in court.

I agree - but they talk some nonsense about it giving you the chance to represent yourself so that's an invalid argument.

Obviously a moot point as it's just a contract that you can refuse.

Cheers for the replies guys - My mate missed the 3 days so I told him to claim he never got the PCN.

He's done that and now they're sending him some other nonsense but apparantly they won't re-issue the PCN.

I think it might be a charge certificate.

Is he able to refuse this for cause as with anything else even though it's not a contract (Notice)?

Cheers!
