Hey - just checking if you have an Update - we're dealing with Cap One too (letter 3 going tomorrow) so finding this really interesting.

I got Cap One in tacit three years ago and of the dozen or so debts I have challenged they are the one who seem to have given up easiest,in my own case at least, as I have not had any dealings with anyone for two years.
Having written this I'm now expecting a phone call or a letter to drop through the door :o lol

Got home today to find a strange letter on the floor, this time from Wescot :o

So, the letter process will start once again although I was thinking about the NCRTS route.....but next one will get this option!

I've got all the CEO/contact details from this wonderful website, thanks again guys 8-)

Just a quick question for the next crowd - if I open the letter with vigour, is it cool to chuck it back in and write 'opened in error, addressee not know, return to sender' on the resealed envelope?

Okay, got home today to find a letter from 'Nelson Guest & Partners'.......some solicitors who seem very close to Wescot. The letter states that 'further recovery activity will be taken'

So, best way forward?

Should I simply return the letter to the old envelope, place a NCRTS sticker on it and chuck it back in the post (must remember to think before I open next time!)

Or, shall I proceed with the dca letter1 like all the others??

I just write "opened by mistake" on them and tape it back closed

Things have been quiet, everyone so far have had the 3 letters and are in estoppel 8-)
Last week though, another letter landed; from Cap One (you'll be getting another bill for this boyo) stating that they have sold my account to Lowell Portfolio
Same day, different envelope; Lowell writing to confirm that my account has been sold by Cap One to themselves. It also states that they have asked WESCOT to continue to manage my account; WESCOT are in estoppel since Sept last year with no correspondence since

So, do I go through the 3 letters with these donuts or do I simply write to them; thanking them for volunteering their services and paying my account - so I owe them nowt 8-) I also read that once the original account is paid; I am free and clear with no liabilities.
