Discover Card Deception

Postby Avatar2112 » Sun Apr 22, 2012 7:16 pm

Hello again! :D

I recently dealt with "Two Collection Agencies Trying to Collect on the Same Debt" --- see previous post. I sent both companies the 3 letters each and never heard a single word from either of them. Just when I thought it was over, the original creditor Discover Card contacts me with a letter dated April 12, 2012 stating that the debt is valid and I have to pay in full within 30 days. Along with this cover letter they sent almost every statement I have ever had with them in an envelope that burst open in the mail stream! :o Also, the most important pieces they sent me were photocopies of the original application signed by me, as well as a check with my signature on it. It appears to me that at least one debt collector sold back the debt to Discover Card and a grave robber at  Discover did the work to dig up the corpse of what they believe to be a signed invoice against my word. It feels like they are ready to push this into the courts soon. What should I do now?

Intelligent responses only! No garbled replies
