2 card - both over cc limit ...awaiting non payment letters

Postby meskalin » Tue Aug 07, 2012 11:02 pm

Awaiting non payment letters from 2 Cred card companies.... one of them have been phoning ... Lots - just kept saying...dont talk about financial stuff on the phone, thank you and good - ... then mentioned the 1991 harassment act after they kept calling...

They CC company who kept calling said they had sent a letter... I said thanks then - goodbye.

No contact re missed payment from other company ....

Both cards are about 10 days past the payment date and no letters received from them yet!

1 of them sent me a letter saying they would not accept my address change and will keep my old address unless I send in loads of utility bills etc...

So - shall I send the 1 CC company who kept my old address - the 3 letters with my old address - or just reference the account number - and use my new address that I now live at ? They were sent a letter telling them I had moved... however I have not replied to their letter stating...we'll keep your old address unless you contact us - perhaps my reply to that letter could be the 1st debt template letter sent.

Also - rather than waiting for a missed payment letter on those cards.... could I just pre-empt it and send the letters to - payments department ! ???

Dont want to give the 2 CC companies a chance for me to 'default' and try to get it to court of DCA. I assume defaulting happens ... after you dont contact them at all for a month ?

Thanks.
