RBS making me a thief.

Postby charterman » Fri Jun 01, 2012 8:19 pm

I am hopping mad and uncertain where to write this so please forgive me if it is in the wrong place.

Today I get paid and so do my shopping and pay my bills. I purchased something from Amazon and the payment was refused which was strange as there is adequate funds in the account. I then went to Aldi and spent £25 and then went to Sainsbury's where I spent a further £13 in a self service checkout.

I was so embarrassed when I was called back as the transaction hadn't gone through. It didn't go through again so I paid with my credit card. When I got home I rang the bank to see why they were refusing my card for no valid reason. Eventually I spoke to a stroppy woman in Scotland who told me that they had put a block on my card without telling me because they suspected fraud. I suspect it is because I have challenged them selling my account and personal details to Santander without my permission. This thing claimed that they wrote but couldn't tell me what was in the letter etc.

What this has done has branded me a thief because I have walked out of Aldi with a trolley load of shopping that hasn't been paid for. I now have to go to Aldi with the cash costing me more petrol plus looking like a tw*t.

My intention is to email the fat horse riding chairman Hester to explain and demand compensation. But before I do that I would appreciate some advice from all you kind and knowledgeable people on here first. In my eyes this is breach of contract plus it has made me a liar and a thief. My days of banking with this bankrupt, incompetent and corrupt bank are over. I've transferred all my money to a more reliable account and would suggest anybody else with an account do the same.

Please help as I intend to sue.

Get a SAR - it will cost you a tenner but that way you get to see if they wrote you a letter. You#re doing the right thing by getting a new account and telling RBS to fuck off.

Complain to Hester and you might get a nice hamper. But in these alleged agreements are all sorts of clauses that the banks to ride roughshod over us. HAd a similar thing happen when I allegedly defaulted on one bank account they froze another one I had with same bank even though it was in credit.
