Another update folks:

I haven't really heard anything from MBNA since I sent the third letter. I got a few missed calls from unknown numbers but my phone app took care of them. They have never been able to contact me by phone so I think they have nearly given up. I did get a txt last week from some unknown number asking me to contact that number as soon as I got the txt and that it was important. I knew it was them and rang with a blocked number just to confirm.

So this morning I got another letter from MBNA. It's a "NOTICE OF TERMINATION AND INTENTION TO SELL". They plan to sell on my debt within 60 days :)

Update:

Had a few txt's over the last few weeks asking me to contact that person urgently and not leaving a name or who they were. Can only assume it was MBNA. Also received an email a few days ago which read:

Pretty strange way of contacting me I thought.

Then today I received another letter.

Got this letter from MBNA in the middle of December. Looks like they have terminated my credit agreement and registered a default against me. Hopefully that's the last I hear from MBNA. Now for the debt collectors :)

Jonah , I received a similar letter to yours a while back , but since then I have managed to get 30 days clear and got a estoppel off to them just to make sure , but true to their word they have not made contact with me since that letter, so its just a case of wait and see who is next out of the traps , and then deal with them ...lol, but it does feel good knowing that I managed to stand up to them , so I wish you the best of luck with whatever their next move is , keep up the good work

Thanks taxidriver for your support :) Your right it is a great feeling to be able to stand up to them. Postman arrived this morning with a letter from MBNA's recoveries department letting me know that they are dealing with my account now. They have kindly stopped charging me fees and interest :)
