@deethebee AFV always works, you just have to realise you're dealing with scam mongering con men who will try and bluff you into thinking you're trying to get out of paying your bills when the bills are already paid via the national bankruptcy. I think some people are now sending in prom notes with their AFV's so paying them twice. If that works then so be it.

If A4V works, then why is it that Rob is in a position of being disconnected? Is it because he didn't sign the back of the giro slip? I know they're con artists, but they're never going to admit it and so accepting this form of payment would be admitting it really, wouldn't it? So this is why I don't understand how I'll be able to get away with paying them this way...I'll soon find out though!

dee,I've only just sent mi A4V,and prom note 2 days ago,so they won't have seen it yet.The threat of disconnect is from 13th march, when they couldn't fit pre-pay for gas,and I wouldn't put the bill on mi electric pre-pay,as I'm gonna remove that myself. The A4V I attempted before was 18 months to 2 years ago, when I DID NOT INDORSE the bank giro cheque or use a prom note with it.This time it should work and I'm telling em to send em both back if they don't wanna accept the presentment,[ which nullifies the bill] or we agree that you've accepted them,by keeping them. They CANNOT win which ever they choose. :D

Rob, I meant the A4V you said you tried before but you said you didn't sign the back. I was just wondering if that's the reason it didn't work...? By the way, who do you send the giro slip and prom note to? CEO/MD or the customer services centre?
I know they can't win, with what we've said...but I'm just wondering if that means they'll still be able to take you to court for non payment. I mean, even if you not signing the back was the problem before, under the law they should not have been able to take you to court since you did not refuse to pay. I'm also a bit concerned about the updated Bills of Exchange act, eeek!

Yeah I think they didn't accept the original A4V cos 1] I didn't indorse it and 2] I filled in the bank g cheque but put the red diagonal lines, and the writing all the way through the bill, cos that's what I'd learned, but incorrectly. So you could say I did not present it properly. I would always send to the CEO,get his/her name if you can,put both their name and CEO.Also mark the envelope private and confidential. Technically last time, there was a non-payment cos I hadn't presented payment in a recognisable way,as I had done it in error, cos no-one knew how to do it proper back then.So in effect,a refusal to pay.I still never paid em £2000 from 2 yrs ago,and this latest bill of a grand or so,is from this last year's usage. As you can see,I don't wanna pay for ANY fundamental human right that's ours by birthright, where the big Co's have stolen the land, and hi-jacked the natural resources, and then charge us extortionate fiat [pretend] currency, only available through our toil and sweat,to give back to them,to keep the fraud going. I am not aware of the updated details of the BOE Act yet.Do you know what they are bud? Keep trying bud, keep researching, and most of all, keep asking questions. The more of us that keep at em,the more their fraudulent system will come down.Just remember that EVERY liability created has to also create a remedy.Cheers my friend. :)

Rob, I believe they've removed any mention of A4V on the Bills of Exchange Act. There's also apparently no mention of specie of payment I believe. This is what I understand from a thread on tpuc.org anyway. The wording in the act itself is quite complicated so I find it hard to decifer so I can't really tell myself.

Ok m8 I'll have a look.If that's true, then believe it or not,it's a good thing cos it shows we are doing things right, and loads must be attempting it.They can't keep changing legislation at will in time before the whole thing collapses, and the jig is up.At least they're on the run. Thanks bro.

Make sure the meter is ofgem rated. I wouldn't buy one from Ebay - these TINY meters are only £40 or so, just do a web search and you'll find them. Don't forget to Notice the power company that you have fitted your own meter and will be happy to send them meter readings and pay them in the proper way i.e. AFV. We must stay in honour. LOL
