Setting up a trust

Postby Lobo666 » Wed Apr 25, 2012 12:58 pm

Hi All,
I want to set up a trust to include my home and everything I own - predominantly to protect everything from the would-be leaches when I begin flexing my hitherto atrophied muscles!

Obviously I'm not going to do this via a solicitor, so is there a 'template' available for me to do this myself - or experienced advice from anyone who has done this?

Many thanks,

Lobo

This is only my opinion, in no way is this legal advice, you can take it or leave it.

Yes,I've been wondering about doing this too,for the same reasons. I wonder if Ceylon would chip in with any words of wisdom/advice on how to best go about this ??
Would this work for a single person,with no family/dependants ?? If so,how ??

Im not exactly sure how the trust would work say if for example you put your car in the trust, the cops take it and it gets impounded, how is having it in a trust going to stop that or stop you having to pay to get it out of the impound or stop it getting crushed?

Hi all, some great info on here.
Just wondering on a few points if anyone can help regarding the trust docs
1...can anyone witness the signatures on these docs?
2...do the docs have to be posted anywhere?
3...are the docs just presented when someone tries to steal our property?

regards
