Hi guys, so just looking for some advice / comments on best approach. So the deal is this, used a Santander ATM today, it retained my card due to a faulty card reader on their ATM. Not happy with this as it leaves me without funds (note: I do not bank with Santander, but this is besides the point)
I am going to give them a taste of their own medicine and bill the hell out of them. £200 for the loss of my card (my property) (( just an arbitrary figure plucked from no where may make it more)) also billing for my time of writing a letter (standard bank/admin charge - maybe £35 ish ?) plus interest for the time they take to repay me my demand and a fee for every day that i am without my property. As I have had to cancel the card at request of my own bank, I can't pay other bills such as phone bill etc so will be looking for some kind of agreement there.
My question(s) are thus, who best to contact, what may be the best approach etc
I seriously doubt they'll bend to my request but i intend on letting them know that failure to respond will result in me having to write another letter and therefore another admin charge of ... awk who knows (£1000)
away to write it tonight so anybody on here tonight who wants to offer advice of their tuppence worth please, please do
cheers guys
