N216 Notice of non-service

Upon returning the said Claim Form back to the court. Which they then issue the Claimant form N216 (Notice of non-service) To which at the bottom states "you must now attempt service of the document yourself"
Two things:
1- do they have a time limit that they must serve that person before they no longer can continue with the claim
and
2- Is there anything else one should no?

and so after say 14 days they lose their right to claim the money from you via the court?

thats how it works in the small claims i think

£15k would that be considered small claims??

well it was 5k but they changed it to 15k but im not sure if thats done yet

The matter starts in the small claims at county court and goes up the chain
